I have a intermittent problem with my headlights, some times the will not go down immediately, it can take 5 sec and next time 30sek and then they can work perfectly 10 times in a row, then they act up again and do this delayed down, the always go down after some time, i have checked wiring, changed lift relay but still have the problem, any ideas?

If both are staying up I would first test the switch

I had the same problem and fixed it by replacing the 105 headlamp motor relay. My lights would always pop up immediately but would seldom retract on command. They’d take several seconds to several minutes but eventually retracted. The 105 relay drives the individual headlamp motor relays. If both headlamps are behaving identically then it’s likely the 105.

You could switch the suspected bad relay with one of the adjacent relays to see if the symptom changes.

Worse comes to worse you can always bring it down manually.

“105” is what’s called out in the wiring diagram. Mine’s an ‘81 GTSi US version and has a few more relays than yours, but I suspect this relay’s the same. See attached photo:

Many thanx, i found the culprit, i took the relay apart and it was a tiny black soth blup on the contacts, i took 2000 grit wetsand paiper and after that aluminium polish on a paiper, now it shines like chrome, but it together and now it works perfect..:)

Don’t get used to free and easy Ferrari repairs. They’re pretty rare ;)
