    I'm sure those of you familiar w.the Taconic between Wstchstr and upstate pretty well know the Trooper lies, and to wit it's only the Staties that run radar around these pkwy parts. But the other day along the recently finished 3-lane section just north of the 202/35 exit and before Shrub Oak exit there was a purple-blue unmarked Charger w.someone pulled. Didn't see the uniform so not sure if he was State but I would have to assume so since in 8 years I don't recall seeing a local patrolling the pkwy.

    Just an observation and warning to expand your visual defenses for Chargers in addition to the usual Crown Vics and Tahoes ;)

    I've been on the Taconic all the way up to Poughkeepsie. There aren't too many places for 'em to hide. Just make sure to slow down when the land opens up and the guard rails go away.

    on a somewhat unrelated note, has anyone noticed that there seem to be more laser guns in use in the westchester/ct area?

    There was a special operation going on last month by the Westchester County and State police...there was even a helicopter ready in case they needed.

    Geez, a helicopter?! I've County out on the Hutch a little more than usual lately.

    The place where I work gets constant visits from cops. State troopers and Westchester County officers were showing up everyday...now they're gone and I haven't seen the helicopter for about a week.
