In every car I ever owned before the heat & A/C were on a dial, and the center detent was OFF. I can not seem to find a way to turn OFF the system in the 348. It would appear the only option is to pick heat or a/c and then turn the fan speed to zero, but ultimately EITHER the heat or the A/C light has to be ON as there is no OFF?
Hit the lower left, very bottom button on the A/C panel. That's the vent button. When switching from either A/C or heat, the Vent button turns everything off. Then if you want to turn on the fan, you have to hit the up arrows for the fan speed.
