    I just purchased a 355 and a 360 cs

Both cars are very low miles / collector

The 355 only has 3000 miles and the interior is almost perfect

I live in Phoenix and my garage is not air conditioned

I am building a new garage with ac but it won't be build for at least 6 month

Is it really bad for the cars (specially interior) to spend one full summer in a non temperature controlled environment (we are seeing 110 deg F)

Keep in mind those are collector cars / show interior

    Thank you for your input

I'd say the majority of any car is not effected by heat below 200*f. Just think how warm the engine and brakes make the surrounding parts. Black paint in direct sun can get over 160*F and it doesn't harm it.

As for the interior, they both have the infamous "soft touch" coating on many parts. Many believe heat starts the process of it breaking down into the sticky mess. But many new old stock parts are opened up and found sticky that have never been exposed to heat, so they are going to break down at some point no matter what and need refinished by yourself or sent off to StickyRX. I'd use a leather conditioner a couple times a year to keep the leather moist no matter what climate it's kept in.

In short it's a car... it's metal and glass and leather and it won't melt in rain or normal heat. Just keep the one organic thing, the leather, conditioned and watch the stickies and it will be fine.

    Thank you for the reply

I was also worried about dash leather shrinking in passenger side

Not in 6 months. And it does not hurt to apply some leather care products either (as you do not know how it was treated before)

Keep it out of direct sun light. I good car cover would help and when taking it out have a windshield screen with you. It really makes a difference.

I would just keep it out of the direct sunlight, as uv light will destroy your interior.

Thanks guys. Both cars just arrived yesterday!

Just wished the convertible top worked on the 355 :) perfect weather right now in Phoenix.

I am going to try to DIY it but I think it is a seat sensor (everything works but seat doesn't move forward)

Congrats! There are a few threads on fixing the seat potentiometers. Check top fluid, elastic straps and make sure joints are well lubed. I dont even want to jinx myself by typing that my top works pretty good. If all else fails, you can convert it to a manual top :)
