I was intending to have a local Ferrari mechanic perform this work, since I can’t seem to find any instructions on how to remove the unit that houses the blower fan. I guess I’ve been spoiled by all of the Porsche Boxster DIY videos that have aided me in wrenching on my Sport. Does the dashboard have to be removed to get to the unit? If so, I don’t want any part of that. If not, I’d probably attempt it if it is reasonably straight forward. Your advice?

The blower fan is unfortunately housed inside the HVAC unit, at the back of the picture here - which is towards the front of the car. It's where the firewall protrusion in the frunk is:

Which you need to dismantle entirely to get to the blower motor...

During reassembly of the housing parts you should use a peelable sealant (to allows disassembly if needed) to stop air leaks and rattling/squeaking noises:

And yes, the dash has to come out:

My advice is: Have your mechanic do it. And have a good look at the heater and AC hoses to and from the unit while you're in there.

Anybody have a source for the heater hose pictured in post #28 second picture? I replaced mine with a 90 degree plastic connector and silicon hose. It was kind of Frankenstein-like but I did not want to have to replace that hose after the work of removal of the dash and replacement of the fan motor.
