I had a small leak from the T-piece that connects from the engine T-piece near the header tank to the heater (Tav 14, item 32). I removed the T-piece and it is badly corroded so I will order a new one from Superformance.

However the hose to the heater is a bit strange. It looks like normal heater hose from the outside but from the inside the internal diameter is only about 12mm and the walls are very thick. Is this normal or has someone fitted some strange type of hose, or is there another reason. I have never seen a hose like this. It is just rubber with a woven cloth layer but the inside rubber is very soft and almost crumbly.

I dunno what it is supposed to look like, but I bet that isn't it.

While you have it apart, why not order that part too?

Hell, what's another $70,000 (Give or take) in parts, right?

OK, $70K is an exaggeration, it's probably not more than $150.

my guess would be that the hose is failing-- looks like the inside surface has swollen and is disintegrating.
