Can anyone describe for me the exact run of the small bore heater hoses? ie the 3/8"(i think) hose that comes from the engine down to the heater units in the wheel well. Does it run with the wiring loom (drivers side on my UK car) and then to the passenger side heater through that and back across to the drivers side heater through that and down to the T piece on the large hose. Any enlightenment gratefully recieved.

The flow comes from the T piece just before connecting to the rad, it passes up and onto the bottom (flow in) of the NSF heat exchanger, a hose then connects to the top of the HE (flow out) and passes into the servo cover and into the top of the OSF heat exchanger. The heater valve is fitted to the bottom of the OSF heat exchanger and this passes behind the inner wing cover. It then pops out behind the petrol tank and connects onto the t piece on the expansion line to the header tank.

Not sure what it does in the cill though, i quess there isnt that many places to run it!!

PS Very impressed with the work you have on your resto project so far and tha bacon sarnies were perfect too!!!

    Tony,
I have just come in from the garage having completed the heater hose runs having found a thread re this subject in the archives of this forum........so thanks for the info anyway and your welcome to bacon sarnies any time.

    P.S.
Ron (at you know where) told me that the hose was 5/8" ID so thats what i bought and he is actually wrong for a change .....it's 1/2" ID and luckily my local hydraulic hose stockist had loads of it, and after lending a sympathetic ear whilst listening to his matrimonial problems, i nipped out the door with a 9 metre length of high quality German hose for next to nothing! Need any 5/8" ID Hose?
