Curious if anyone has had this issue. Car blows super cold A/C at full low temp setting. Set it up one notch to 68 and if the water is hot, it blows full heat. No difference between 68, 70, 72, 74, etc.

Verified the heater control puts out different ohms at various settings, even swapped in my 360 heater control panel (different look same connectors) and heater control ECU (under dash). Neither made any difference.

Before I take it to the dealer was curious if anyone has had this issue.

    Thanks!

Just fixed the same issue- it was the control door under the dash board. There is a motor that moves the door, the actuator was disconnected. Easy fix, pain in the a.. Figuring it out.

Please share the fix. Mine all over the place too. Temp setting on 74 and still blows cold until I put it all the way up then blow too hot. Sometimes heat comes on when setting low as OP's issue. Would like to see if my actuator disconnected as well.

Mine was exactly as you described, LOW would produce cool but not cold air. OFF would allow hot air and that was what bothered me. From the day I owned the car if I engaged the OFF button, a small amount of outside temp air would come through but until the issue then it was always HOT and any temp except LOW produced HOT air.

Even on LOW it would sometimes stop and sent HOT air, if I switched it to 72, then back to LOW it would again work for a while.

I have to admit I didn't fix this one. I had noticed that the AC wasn't working as well as I thought it should. My indi checked the mechanical system - all ok, but he also noted temps out of vents were a bit higher then normal. This as it turned out was because the temp control door - thats the thing that regulates the flow into the heater core or blocks the heater core was not moving.

When you get in your car and turn the key to the start position, do you hear a not loud "pop" from under the passenger side dashboard? My car always made that noise, then stopped. When I told my mechanic he said let me just check that door, it was all fixed within an hour. Wish I could be more helpful but that's the only thing on a Fcar I don't really mess with. If you like PM me - I'll give you my guy's phone number, he's the best and will tell you directly what he did to correct it. Or if your close bring it to him, you wont regret that.
