I am looking for a heater valve for my 1971 Dino 246GT. Does anyone know who may have one? I have emailed Lyle Tanner and Superperformance in the UK. Absent an available heater valve for the 246GT, does anyone know if a heater valve for either a 365 C4 or a 308 will work?

Like Synchro says, I have heard (but I don't know for a fact) that the Dino heater valve is the same as a Fiat 850 heater valve. Here is an enlargement of the picture from the 850 parts book. The valve is part #4205723, the gasket is #4176872. You could probably get them well below Ferrari prices from Chris Obert or other Fiat parts suppliers.

I think I have a couple of these (used) out in my garage from 850's I parted out, if you want to compare dimensions.

You probably have an early one, my 01248 have a valve with two pipes, not as the picture one pipe and one flange. Same as Alfa, I bought my from Alfa Service Bertelsbeck and Hurtienne in Germany.

As mentioned above they are the same as Fiat 850's, I used to run down to the Fiat dealer to purchase them in the 70's. Back then I believe the Fiat price was about $4.00 and FNA was over $30.00!

    Cheers

    Bjorn - ]

correct my 01296 also has the valve with 2 hoses (does not mount directly to the heater core voa a flange like the one shown in the photo). I would also like to knwow the Fiat / Alfa equivalent part number..

GT Parts tells me that they can be rebuilt.

Lyle Tanner shows them on their website...
