Hello, I did get so much good tips from this site, it is now my turn to post one! For those of you who are struggling with the heating on/off situation, here is a cheap and cheerful trick that sorted an on-going problem with my car. It seems that the heater valve's lever is too short to match the internal lever's stroke. I've changed pull cables several times over the years but they always fail after 3 or 4 operations.
