    Hi all,
Just a quick question, I need to get my heating control unit sorted out.. it kinda stopped working when i jump started it a few days ago.
What should i check for or does it mean that I knackered the unit?

Kinda cold in London and need a little bit of heating in the car.

    Thanks

    VKS,

If you are talking about the control unit inside the car ( temperature, fan speed, air direction, etc... ) . These have a history of failing due to bad solder connections on the unit.

I removed my unit from the car and used a soldering gun to strengthen all the traces on the board. Since completing this I have not had any error codes.

If you do not have a soldering gun you can take the unit to an electronics repair shop and they can do it in 30 minutes.

Removing the unit is not that difficult, except you have to remove the center console pieces and work your way toward the module.

I know there have been previous threads on this so search the archives and you will find some photos detailing the removal process. Many others have solved this problem doing the above.

    Good luck and stay warm.

Viresh, if you just want to get the panel back online, disconnect the battery and let the car sit over night, then reconnect it, when you start the car dont touch anything, including the throttle, let it idle for about 15 minutes or untill the intake baffles close
