heel-2-toe braking...wats it for?

    wat are the advantages of heel-to-toe braking..i'm not that familiar with it, tried it a few times on my cousin's car...wats the difference? magazines claim it saves time...anyways, anybody can give me a tip on how 2 use it properly? thanx.. :)

    This means that when you brake for a corner, your right foot stays on the brake pedal all the way to the turn in point. To downshift smoothly, the throttle is "blipped" by turning your foot counter clockwise so that your heel can be used on the gas pedal while still braking. Some people use the side of their foot, but this depends on pedal spacing, foot size etc.

    It's not really something you can try once or twice and see an advantage. You have to practice a lot. Like dancing sitting down.
