708rwhp, 93 octane gas, 7.5lbs of boost. Best time was 11.00@130, The car ran consistently and the traps actually improved after a few runs, finishing up at 133mph. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nc0Cp6MUDY
MAN that thing was dippin out! I'm assuming he had the half shafts upgraded to support the extra power. A set of stickier tires and that thing will run in the 10's for sure. Great vid, thanks for posting it.
Yeah, we had a lot of trouble hooking up in first, best short time was 1.90. No the car is awd, we dynoed on a two wheel dynojet. The numbers stated are RWHP. We ran on an extremely hot, humid eve in Bradenton, FL so the traps should be somewhat higher in normal conditions. Gearing was also an issue; 5th gear came up around 50ft before the finnish line! The G is definitely not a drag racer! I just wanted to test the mods out and get some baseline numbers. I was very happy with the traps, this car is fast!!
if you had 04 gearing there would be no 5th gear required.....does MT make a street ET drag radial that will fit your car?.
An added benefit for the 04 model is the partial engine rebuild will give you an almost new engine. Wayne, I will not be putting drag radials on the G, I am very happy with the trap speeds we were getting..... I know I got the horsepower I paid for!! speeds yes. Times...Just wanted you to crack into 10's...wether you on it in 40 degree temp, use race fuel or add traction....Can't happen with e-gear or believe me I would be doing it all.
With a short time that bad, and a 130 trap speed you def have a low 10 sec car there with practice and maybe a RWD swap. My car has half the power, runs a 1.79 short time and runs high 11's with ease. Good luck....
Dude, no need to carry the whole show anymore! If I don't get the time, the next TT will. And don't forget about the 1000hp TT Gallardo. That car will obliterate any record I could make. The speed game never quits.
Fantastic car, but 130 mph is not consistent with 700 whp. Reconnecting the fwd must be dragging down power. My Viper with about 570 rwhp pulls 130 traps and a friend's Lingenfelter 427 TT with 700 rwhp is more like 140-145 trap
Thanks. Our top traps were a consistent 133mph, on a very hot, humid florida evening. I imagine we would trap at least 136 or 137 in normal, cooler air. For the record, we dynoed on a 2 wheel dyno jet, so the awhp horsepower number drops to around 670hp or so.

A CGT weighs at least 400 lbs less than a Gallardo. And I doubt it would trap out at 133 mph in the middle of a hot Florida summer. The published times for any of these super cars are usually magazine tests or manufacturer's claims, conducted in perfect conditions. We tested in less than ideal conditions with a lot of wheel spin in first and second gear and still obtained awesome results. A CGT running in the same conditions would trap 3 or 4 mph less than its published time.
Nice runs, congrats. Car sounds amazing and really seems to be making the power. What launch technique did you use at the strip? How does the awd perform on the street with that much power? Aaron
