    Hi guys,

I don't know if this has been discussed before, so I'll ask.

I have my winter list ready and one of my to do things is to put a Euro spoiler on my 82 308, IMHO it just looks soooo good on the F-car. :)

So the question is what height difference will different tires and rims make? I still have the metric ones (390) and I will eventually will be getting 16" or 17".
The front of my 308 (see pic) doesn't look like it's low plus it has original shocks and there is a full size spare in there.

So did any of you Euro 308 owners, with different wheels, see a height difference at the front spoiler?

    Thanks

Here's a tire size calculator. With it you can compute the height of your current tires and compare it against others you are considering:

Agreed, use the tire calculator BUT also look at the SPECIFIC tire specs (www.tirerack.com) and see the exact tire circumference. You'd be surprised the difference from 'spec' to real world measurements.

As for height/clearance... that all depends on your current height. Some pics below of the 308 here that has been lowered/corner balanced and has shorter and stiffer springs. Had tha car at about 3.25-inches clearance, but now we have her at 3.75-inches. That extra 1/2 inch gives better clearance for normal street driving but i still scrape the bottom lip now and then.

    Thanks for the pic Mike.

The space between the tire and fender looks about the same as my car. So if i stay with stock (16") that's the look/space it will have.
    Hmmm......... interesting.

Like Steve said check the manufacturers spec sheets. All tires are not the same. A 205/55-16 from one manufacturer may be slightly larger or smaller than another manufacturer. Even the specs can not be used as a definite. The way one manufacturer measures the tires might be different from the others. Use everything as a "nominal" measurement.

    Oh man, that IS low.

But like you said, the 308 has been lowered.

Anybody else with stock shocks and different wheels on a Euro?
