I never thought that would happen, given all the bad blood over the years between Roger Waters and the rest. Now Bob Geldof should work on Led Zeppelin re-uniting with Jason Bonham on drums.
Yeah...but they withheld including their appearance on the Live Aid DVD. They felt that their performance was sloppy...and keep in mind, Led Zeppelin was notorious for being a little loose (or sloppy) during live performances. But that was part of their charm. And if they were that bad, their legend would not have stood the test of time. Sorry for the high jack....back to Pink Floyd.
Woooooooo... I still listen to Dark Side and The Wall. Two of my favorite three albums ever, actually.
I remember it that way as well but IIRC, it was their first live appearance after Bonzo's death. Saw The Wall concert at the Forum in LA waaaaay back in the day! Awesome. Saw them again at the LA Sports Arena and the Coliseum during the "Division Bell" tour! Remember the flying bed movie during "On the Run?"......Holy ****!
Page said their appearance at Atlantic's 40th (with Jason on drums) also wasn't up to par..but I think that performance of Kashmir was their best (post-Bonzo) ever. Ok, Ok...back to Floyd..I swear.
No, I was talking about their performance at the Atlantic 40th; just the 3 of them, with Jason. I was fortunate to have seen it once on (a bootleg of course) video.
I DO remember the flying bed! Too cool. The first time I saw Pink Floyd I was stone cold sober, I didn't want to miss a thing. I remember sitting there stunned for a lot of the show. The next time I saw them, I reverted to my old ways.
I think they did that at the Rock'n'Roll hall of fame ceremony in 95'. BTW, did you folks know that it was during Floyd's performance in 77 at the Olympic Staduim in Montreal, that someone in the front row spit at Roger Waters and that moment spawned The Wall.
I thought they were only getting together for a benefit show in England. Have they announced anything about a full tour? I'm pretty psyched, but at the same time I wish they could have sorted this out about 15-20 years ago...
