    Hi,

First off, what a great forum, just had to upgrade and show a bit of support.
I love really love the vintage forums and the restoration threads. It's just amazing the knowledge on this forum. IE, someone asks for info on a particular car, moments after, a deluge of info, history, photos, etc appear. WOW.
I read the thread for 07333 from beginning to end in two days,,thrilling.

Though I have never owned a Ferrari, I have had the pleasure to have driven a couple. First ever was a '80 308, red of course, next was a 400i in blue, not to sure about the AT on that one. Most recently I had the pleasure of spending some time with a silver 575 Maranello, with the F1.
I grew up with a fighter pilot father that loved speed. I also had a WWII aviation mechanic uncle that restored cars later in life (mostly Caddys) My HS car was a mint hand me down '67 Buick GS400 with factory 4spd. Very fast but only in a straight line. Next I had a succession of VW GTI's in various states of mod, then graduated in the 90's to a SC w 160k miles, then a succession of Audi a4's ending with an S. Currently driving a '12 vw tdi, saving my pennies, for a 75% complete project of some sort, maybe Alfa, maybe Porsche.

I do volunteer work with the Santa Fe Concorso, and helped coordinate events a few years ago, and will be helping this year as well. If you have never attended this Concorso, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

I am also, what I call a semi permanent student glider pilot. Been doing this for years, but never fully completed my license. I fly a few times a year with a instructor and every now and then do a powered lesson as well. Dad started me on a Beech in 7th grade.
One of these days, I keep telling myself.

    Regards,

    Corey
