Greetings F-Chatters. I have been lurking for a week or so, and wanted to introduce myself. No Ferrari yet, but plan on changing that in the near future. I am a lifelong car nut, and have had many fun cars (muscle cars, Vipers, Corvette, Miata, Mini), and currently drive an Elise. I've had the Lotus for 4 years now, and am ready for what's next. I think a 360 Modena is what's next.

I'm not loaded, and am not really sure I'm Ferrari material. I am also fairly financially conservative, so don't tend to go overboard on things. As a sales guy, my income varies year to year. I have had a few good years now though, and think it's become a trend. Enough of a cushion is there that I feel comfortable in the 360 purchase and maintenance price range.

I'm honestly holding myself back wondering if I deserve it. Not that I think I'm not a good person (ok, definitely not a great person), but it's not something I thought I would get. I can say that it wouldn't be the most expensive car in the neighborhood, but I think I would want to hide it from my co-workers. And cusomers...

Am I nuts? Are you nuts too?

Any nice, but not too nice 360s in the DC area?

    Regards,
    -Andy

Welcome to FerrariChat Andy! Life is way short, live right and enjoy it. If you can afford your dream car then I would suggest that you enjoy it while you are able to do so. Wishing you the very best in your search...

Thanks Pearsonhaus. Strangly, my wife hasn't gone ballistic about my declaration of intent. She's not thrilled, but doesn't seem like she's gonna block it. I think I'll have to tack 25% onto the purchase price for the houseware bribes. I think the same goes for her only living once. Thankfully, her small useless objects around the house tend to be cheaper than my big useless objects.

Yes Andy for the most part their "toys" seem to be less costly. Although she will most likely not share or understand your passion for the Ferrari car lets hope she will enjoy the car together with with you when you purchase it.
