Hello everybody. I found F-Chat while looking for a 308GTS in the UK and have just upgraded to a silver subscription. I've also posted this message on the new members forum and the 308 forum, just to spread my net a little bit wider!

I hope, eventually, to progress to my dream car, a 246GT/S. I'm based in Gore, New Zealand and have searched for other members in NZ. There seem to be a few and I would love to hear from them, particularly any in the south of the South Island. I would also like to make contact with any NZ 246 owners, as, once I can afford one, I'd rather not go through the hassle of importing if I can avoid it! This is a great site and I'm looking forward to becoming a Ferrari owner and participating more fully.

    Welcome!!!!

I started with a 308 gtsi and dreamed of a Dino...which was only about 120% the cost of a 308gtsi when I bought mine. Values have since changed, but none the less, you have a superior car when it comes to performance. When you get the chance, if you buy a Dino, you will be taking a step back, but trust me, it is worth it.

They aren't the fastest cars, but are a great amount of fun and look pretty darn cool.

yes, costs have changed - I nearly bought a 1973 giallo fly GTS in 1976. It was for sale at 5,000GBP, which was 2 year's salary, so I decided against it :-( Now they cost 20 times that much, but still 2 year's salary! Oh well! Performance may be slightly worse, but oh, the looks!!
