Hello from PA! here for the 308's :)

I wanted to say first off that the first car I can ever remember riding in was a Ferrari. So, from early childhood I was doomed

I registered here because my grandfathers 308 needs some upkeep info and I see this forum has a LOT to offer and active topics, which is good!

Now, onto the why I am here. well, in the late 70's my grandfather sold his business and bought a brand new 308 GTB. A silver one. he had it for a VERY short time before a lady in a van BACKED OVER IT while parking. She Never saw it......and I probably never would have either if I was in a van. Totaled that out. He, being Italian....wanted another horse.

He picked up a Grigio 77 308 GTB brand new off the lot at Algar.....and he's now 80 years old and the Ferrari has about 37,000mi on it. he drives it about once every 2 weeks. As long as I see brake dust and road grime when I stop by, I don't give him hell. He said it was running poor years ago, and ever since I got on his butt to drive it, it runs well. He has shown me the tricks on washing and driving it. I get to drive it every so often with him, and it's a joy

He had to buy a used exhaust for $1,500 at the dealer as his was SHOT. Emissions stuff is GONE, he said it was slower than his old 911 Porsche, and that wasn't gonna happen. The drivers seat is heavily worn and needs a complete re-seam and piping. Other than that, its actually a great running car. Clutch was recently redone, but AC is empty. My Grandmother refuses to rid in it until it's fixed....

Any other Original owner 308 owners out there?
