No such thing as a '91 Speciale.

Agreed. Speciale's were build from 1994-1995

 

well, most of them were in '93. with a few in '94, but whatever.

Congrats on the car, now you must bring it up to Summit Point next weekend, 23rd and 24th, you can take it on the track. They have these instructors from the local Ferrari club. Ferrari of Washington will have the race trailer there for any assistance. So, call Redding at Ferrari of Washington. He will set you up, take your money. Really, it's a fun time and you will understand why your car was made.

Unless the plate on the inside door of my '94 S.S. which says #5 of 15 is wrong....

My car is #20/100, and it's a 1992. I have a list of most of the Speciales and there are a few with higher serial numbers than mine that are 1992 models. The year can be determined by looking at the VIN number -- in particular, the 10th digit. Mine is an 'N'; 1993 cars have a 'P', and so on.

I was at a Ferrari dealer yesterday and I looked at a 1994 Speciale that was there. It was produced February 1994 and the Speciale plate on the passenger door sill indicated that there were 16 of them.

 

Well if your car says 5 of 15, then I won't argue with that.

I could swear I saw the number 16 yesterday, but I guess I'm wrong.

 

I could be offbase on this, but I was under the presumption that the "5 of 15" was referring to the 15 Targa SS's made...and that the Berlinetta SS's had "#1 of 100" style plates (regardless of actual production numbers) instead of "#1 of 15" style.

 

Were there any 1994 tb Speciales?

It seems that the only 1994 Speciales I see are ts cars.

 

I have seen 1993 Ferrari 348ts Serie Speciale listed as # 71 of 100.

I have a 94 speciale GTB (actually very early 94 so probably made in late 93. BUT this is a Maranello Speciale only 8 ever made I beleive 4 in 93 4 in 94.
