awesome pics! You are well versed in car photography as well! Many of us were/ are from the old Porsche world. Now that those cars have become almost too dear to own/ drive we are re-discovering the much more interesting alternative...Enzo era Ferraris. Only downside is that the 3x8s will soon be as hot as the longhoods and then what?
Looks great! I love the euro spec cars. It's harder to see on the 328 vs. 308, but the front bumper is more tucked in. That plus the sleeker mirrors and lack of corner markers really make the car look great.
Congratulations. A very fine looking 328. Hope to see you on the roads around Vancouver. Jon '86 328 blue sera
Thanx guys!. Can someone help me with a list of what's different in the euro spec cars vs NA. I know most of what Ztarum mentioned. Slightly different/tucked in front bumper, smaller mirrors, lack of corner markers (? I'll have to look at some pics), and different rear (lack of cut outs), no cats, only 4 warning lights at the top of the instrument cluster (instead of 6),.. Anything else? I noticed I don't seem to have something called the 'diaper' (screen) below the motor - am I supposed to? Looking forward to running into fellow 328 Vancouverites!
Here's some engine bay pics. It's more the camera than the photographer! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car looks great! But, DANG! The pics are stellar! Best I've seen! Great photography. Any Porsche pics? Just go and post them here. We won't tell.
Well, it's easy to encourage me... My 993 Turbo, arena red, 1997, started out stock, have done a lot of mods (most DIY) - twin mocal oil cooler, 4wd delete, cf hood/front bumper/gt2 tail, leather recaro pole positions, solid suspension components, motons CS, multiple engine mods - most recent is a Andial 3.8 twin plugged motor (have stock original motor in garage on an engine stand), hydraulic delete (manual steering rack/clutch), home made cf under tray/tunnel cover, plus a bunch of other stuff. It's really really fast and spends quite a bit of time at the track terrorizing newer cars at DE's. Currently plastidip'ed burgundy. Ferrari will be left stock! Ferrari's fantastic, great driving experience. Shifter is very solid feeling (after warm up). Easy to heal and toe. Driving position for me is not ideal - I'm 5'7 and have the seats full forward but just comfortable with clutch and have to have the seats reclined some to not hit my head, so my arms are somewhat outstretched. Great for cruising (which is what I both the car for), would have difficulties with a helmet with the roof on. Turns well, pretty neutral. Sounds nice. Raw like my 993turbo, so goes well theme wise. Reminds me a little of my old 85 targa. Can't compare performance wise with the turbo, which has a track suspension set up and way over twice the hp... !
