I have recently joined the ranks of Ferrari, managed to get my hands on brand new 599 GTB in Kuwait. One thing is for sure, I have always been a fan of the 599 and adore it, now that I have it, its just something else. A work of art of its own caliber.

I have a few questions, and hoping that someone could help me out.

I'm trying to find an email of anyone in Corporate or Sales in the Ferrari Factory, as I am going to face an issue with the Ferrari Dealer in Kuwait. I spoke to them regarding installing a Novitec or Capristo Exhaust System and maybe some other modifications. Right off the bat they told me that if I modify the exhaust system or change the wheels that the factory warranty will drop right away, and nothing will be covered by the dealership. I know there are laws to protect the consumer in the US and UK, but its different around here. They said its not them, but the factory that has stated this.

I want to get my hands on someone from Italy and send them an email with questions about this ridiculous attitude, I can't change anything or else I would lose the full factory warranty. If this was the case the states, the dealership would have a lawsuit on its hands but around here its a dead end. I want to clear it up with the factory before proceeding. An help would be greatly appreciated.

I attached some pics of the beauty. :D

Agree, that is a beautiful car, Marzouq. Congratulations.

I can understand your frustration with the factory policy about no aftermarket parts being added while the car is under factory warranty. I can't help you on who to contact to get that fixed.

Enjoy your car in good health and post more pictures of it (the interior, and any road trips or car events in Kuwait would be interesting to see).

    Factory policy is clear.

If you add non-factory parts while the car is under warranty, and they fail, or cause another component to fail, why should the factory be held responsible?

I know their language is broad and sweeps a lot of stuff up in it, any non-factory additions void the ENTIRE warranty, right? So if you modify the exhaust, the entire car is now out of warranty.

Unfortunate? Sure, but a condition that you knew about when you bought the car, right? It was explained to you by the dealer prior to purchase, as a condition of purchase.

Post purchase remorse over the conditions of warranty, while understandable, are not negotiable.

You could email Ferrari until you run out of warranty, and make the point moot, but I don't think you're going to be able to pressure them into changing the policy for you.

Thank you very much people! I love this car, I have always loved it in white! I will get the exact name of the colors and a lot more pics of it and the interior.

Thanks for the information, I wanted to email the factory about it. Its not reasonable that they don't cover the suspension because of an exhaust modification. In the states I know that the law clearly states that the dealer must prove that the fault is because of the modification and it only fails for the warranty under the case and doesn't void the whole warranty, it must hold up in a court of law if need be.

In regards to me knowing this information before hand isn't true. Dubai Ferrari is the dealer of Novitech Rosso so they outfit their vehicles with their exhaust systems, wheels, and body kits and it doesn't void the Ferrari warranty. Previously in Kuwait I know of people have installed kits on their 360s and 430s without having their warranty voided since I knew they had issues which were covered under warranty. This policy seems a bit unclear and not reasonable, I want to email the factory to get a clear answer from them and then I will email the manufacturers. It will just help clarify the issue.

That aside I do love the 599 and think it is a work of art, I love the way it sounds but I'm hoping for a louder growl! Getting the body kit won't be issue since it has no affect on the car other then aesthetics. I also spoke to them about painting my rims, Scuderia Grey! I think that would look amazing!

You got that right! The 599 just isn't loud enough, compared to a 430, it's positively quiet.
