I would like to transfer four Laser Discs onto DVD. I have the four very rare LDs below, but I no longer have any LD equipment.

Does anyone here know of a service in south Florida that can transfer from LD to DVD? These are really interesting subject matters, how many times do you see a race to the sound of Pink Floyd? I would be happy to give anyone that can help me a DVD of any of these.

    Thanks

Ron, I'm not familiar with any transfer services in S. FL, but you may want to contact a Ritz Camera (or Wolf Camera) and see if they can recommend anyone locally. I know there's a Ritz/Wolf on Sunrise Blvd where it splits to US-1 (near Bayview Cadillac).

Also, you can look into www.digitalpickle.com to check on their prices. They're only in LA, San Francisco, and NY, but they have an extensive list of services, and can probably give you a quote over the phone.

    Good luck!

    Ha!

JT, about 7 months ago, I sold the player and 150 unopened LDs, all movies, Disney, Star Wars, etc. I never hooked up the player. I ran 13 Video Concepts stores in Florida in my last lifetime, so I started collecting LDs then. Who would have thought that DVDs would exist? Now I know, the lastest fad will be gone in 4-5 years.

Thanks RR and JV for the advise. I found a service to convert my 8mm movies to DVD, I have the 1968 Bridgehampton CanAm, even a Beatles concert, on 8mm.
