Does anyone know a great local helmet painter or do you have any experience with some of these guys that I found on the Internet? My old helmet is a Snell 2005 so I have to get a new one for next year and the last guy that I used, Mike Charness at Inside Track Custom Helmet Painting is on a hiatus according to his website.

Does anyone have any experience with:

-Scott Zimmerman at Zimmer Designz: seems to do hard hats, helmets, sports masks, etc.
-Jack Bich at Custom Helmet Painting in Sugarland

I'm looking to have this completed before the end of January.

    Thanks.

What kind of graphics are you looking for? I have a very talented artist who has been doing freehand stuff for decades but he doesn't do taped off graphics like you normally see on sports car helmets, although he does do a ton of helmets. I think Jack would be a good choice for taped off work-- he's been around for a looong time and has done a number of Ferrari themed helmets.

I'm probably just looking to duplicate my existing helmet or maybe update it slightly. So mostly it'll be taped off stripes.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

That's a truly great looking helmet, Luke.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. But I've done some more checking and it looks like most of the organizations that I run with are going to allow 2005 certified helmets into 2016, so the rush is off to get another helmet right away.
