there are 8 places for the abs sensors to disconnect or have bad connections. Caliper to abs wiring. abs wiring to ABS ecu. The latter is within about 3 ft of the caliper tracing the wire back. it is in a white connector single pin. Check those. Fronts are under the interior bonnet cover. rears can be accessed via removal of inner fender wells
Arie, as always fatbillybob is on the money. Electrical connections are usually the problem. Try performing a diagnostic test on your ABS system. From my poor memory. Remove the front luggage compartment liner. On the right/ passenger side you will see the ABS module, contains a series of relays and fuses. Looking at the fuse section you will notice 1 empty fuse socket. Install a 10 amp fuse. Turn on the ignition to light the ABS display. The ABS light will start to flash a code. A series of sequential flashes with pauses between. Count the flashes, note the code. Reference the workshop manual for the problem the code equates to. A good start locating the problem. I am experiencing a similar issue with my spider. Still have not had time to fully troubleshoot the problem. Good luck.
Both the ABS light and the Brake light (though typically just the Brake light) can come on if your brake/clutch fluid is low. So the *easiest* thing to do first is make certain you've got enough DOT 4 brake fluid in there.
