Riggio, the switch covers are not really removable, and you do not want to be taking the switches apart, it can be a nightmare to reassemble. The carbon fiber switch covers that I have seen, simply slide over the oem switch. They are not exchanged with the oem switch cover. Hope this makes sense.

Your best course of action is to learn how to clean the switches of the goo, and refinish, or do like I did, and simply ship them off to Robbie at www.stickynomore.com that is the least hassle and best results. ;)

What a fantastic gesture. Very cool.

My advice, given your time frame I would look to refinish his parts yourself, it is a messy and time consuming job, but not really that had to do and not costly (so long as you do not break anything )

Plenty of threads here discussing the best process to use. The results are fantastic.

4-5 week turnaround??--I can complete most jobs in 3-4 days, shipping back to you maybe 5-7 days--Total 10-12 days, not weeks....
