So, what brand and model tires are best for a 1998 355??? I'm in need of replacing them and hearing that the original style in Bridgestone is not available.

Also, any thoughts of where to order them. I was speaking to the tire rack today. How are they for tires??

I'm going to put 225/40-18 and 285/35-18 Bridgestone RE050a pole position on my 355 rims for the 348. I have the pole positions on my 911 and really like them. They are a great deal too.

thanks that is good to hear! there is so much about F car ownership that I'm just getting from Fchat. I selected those sizes based on a bunch of threads I found via search here. My car is being picked up tomorrow morning in arkansas and should be here tuesday or weds. I'm going out of my mind!!!!!!!!

    Ahhh....

You should have selected the 295/35/18s for the rear.

I can show you if you can make it to a shop in Gaithersburg.

which shop, competizione? that is where I plan to get the 30K. on the 295 vs 285 I guess I could have gone either way from a diameter standpoint (one slightly under, one slightly over), but I was worried since this is a 348 that comes with 255s stock about going too wide. 285 seemed more conservative.

I went 285's on purpose. They are a tiny bit under dia. that gives me that same tiny bit more acceleration :)!!! They are still wider than the stock 265/40's :D :D

    Yes, Comp........

Woops, thought you were the first poster w/ the 355. Not too sure on the 348 specs. but on the 355 I'm sure 295s are the way to go. It's an extra 20mm to the ground.

    I will take picture soon.

Hey, if you're happy  (smiley didn't work)

    I'd go 305's if they'd fit!
