My car is 97 355 Euro with TUBI exhaust and test pipe. From my last service, most of the sensors has changed including O2, timing belt and etc. Then my car run normal till my mechanic put the SD 2 to my ECU to delete the error codes such as worn cat. After that my car idles not smooth, stumble and also have back fire. Is it possible that the problem issue from my ECU or his SD2? Any one has this issue before and suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thanks

I would try the system re-set first.
Shut main power off for 10-15 minutes
Then restart and let idle only for the same. This gives the ECU's etc etc time to re-set.
Id give that a shot before anything else.

Thanks for your reply. I have done before but it doesn't work. I would like to know the process to do with the SD2. Turn engine on or off? Switch off battery and let it idle after delete?
    Thnaks for the suggestion.

First things first, I would check your ground/earth wire connections. You will have a ground wire coming off of the alternator, and another one from the frame to the engine block or transmission. Make sure the wire is in good condition, clean, and connected properly.

Next you will want yo check ALL of the connectors, ALL OF THEM.

    Mass Air Flow
    Crank Sensors
    O2 Sensors
    Fuel Injection
    Water temperature
    Coil Pack
    Throttle Position
    Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.........

Make sure that they are all clean and that the wires are in good condition. The slightest problem with the wiring in these cars can cause all sorts of headaches.

    One more thing.

Please fill out your profile. Thanks.

Today my mechanic removed some error such as Electronic N 6, and 3 also the Air secondary pump then he cleaned the contact and test run. After that he checked with his SD2 again and got some errors instead error : there is worn cat converter (RH) and Heat temp in Cat (RH) and the engine still not smooth @idle but it run normal when we have a test drive. He said it might be because of the TUBI test pipe or may some leak in exhaust. He recommended to take a look at the exhause on RH bank. Any suggestion? BTW I will register after the car back.
    Thanks again,
