I just picked my car up from having an XM tuner, CD player, back up cam, 4 new door speakers, and an amplifier istalled and where the "ASR" display and the "Check OK" display is present, I have a picture of the car (in profile view) with arrows that point to the rear wheel and the front wheel.

I thought it may have been some sort of electrical setting that was messed with, but it is STILL on.

What does this warning light thingy mean?

Owners Manual shows them all but it sounds like the tire pressure sensor warning system is acting up. (just a guess based on your description).

I had the same thing happen on my 355 after replacing the deck, amp, Sirius, and speakers. If I sit there it will come on (actuator/suspension fault), but just drive it and after it picks up speed the fault will go away and never return. I am assuming that you have not run the car for about 20mi since the install?

IF not ...something happened/ got loose in the front compartment that has the relays and controller for the actuation/suspension system. check for loose connection or blown fuse. You have to take apart the front trunk liners to get to the system components. Easy to blow a fuse if they mounted the amp in the trunk or connected to the batt direct.

Could be spurious RFI from the new stereo components interfering with the wireless signal from the tire pressure sensors...

Do the 360s have a tire pressure monitor?

ok, I just picked my car up from the SAME place that installed DiMisa's stereo and the exact warning light came on.

Graphic is a side view of the car with triangles under each wheel.

HELP, not a great way to start off the weekend! And they had my car for 4 days !

The 355 guys are complaining on another tech thread that putting a subwoofer into the front trunk causes their suspension light to go on when their stereo is on. Apparently the yaw and pitch sensors are located up front on those cars...

    Hi Guys

First of all the light is not tire pressure monitoring but the active suspension warning light. dampers default to 'hard' mode as a result.

Try switching the car off for 5 mins (using battery kill switch) and the swithcing back on. If still on, then it's back to dealer.

When aa car has been sitting for some time with components connected (like when they aree trying to install stereo) this happends..

    cheers

I turned off the power by turning the knob in the front trunk and left it off for 15 min. Then turned it back on, started the car and then in Reverse (F1) no warning light, BUT as soon as I put the in 1st gear the warning light came back on : (

Your audio guys may have unwittingly tied into that suspension circuit or maybe they could be shaing its circuit breaker.

It is more than just a coindicence this occurred especially since there are apparently two of you complaining of the same issue from the same shop!

Is the stereo on when this occurs?

Many times with car stereo applications relays are used to ensure the amps do not stay on thereby draining the battery. It's possible they may have used relays and tied into this circuit w/o being sure of its application.

If this is so, there could be either or both more resistance and more draw on the circuit, and the suspension sensors are therefore triggering the warning light.
