Hoping someone has some insight. I've got a 01' 360 spider, 20k miles. Spent a few hours driviing aggressively on some back roads yesterday, no problems. Got home and went to start the car to put away for the night and nothing. It wont even crank- its as if the battery is completely dead. Battery is not the issue though as windows and top work just fine. I've got a engine warning light on and a light indicating that the engine compartment is open? Another odd thing is I cant depress the brake pedal, it'll barely move. Any thoughts?

If the car is a F1 be sure it is neutral pressing both padles back.

Even if the car is signaling a open hood on the engine compartment the car should still start. However, you will not be able to put the car in gear and drive with the hood "open" indicator illuminated.

As stated, make sure the car is in "N".

Thanks for your input guys- car is in 1st- wont go into N. Looks like I'm gonna have to flatbed it to the dealer.

Check the transmision fuses. Sometimes when you push the car hard with some agresives shifting that system get hot as hell. That is why some of the guys are upgrading that fuse from 35 to 50. I think there is a good thread posted by Juri.
    That could help you.

Try having someone rock the car back and forth while you're attemting to shift into N. Key on, have someone rock the car back and forth while you hold both paddles back, good luck !

Looks like your spot on David- just noticed the F1 transmission failure light is illuminated; hopefully something as simple as a fuse. Tried to rock it into n but no dice. Hopefully I dont damage it further winching it onto a flatbed. thanks for all you help

Try holding back both paddle shifters at the same time for 15 seconds to reset the transmission.

Hate to say this but an F1 failure light which I've seen on my dash could very well be your F1 pump has gone out.

Try the Fuse located behind the Passenger seat, it's a 30amp box fuse. But seriously if you have the light on I would start looking into the F1 pump itself.

If it is indeed the F1 pump, it's actually a pretty straight forward replacement and Daniel at Ricambi can get you a new pump.

    Hope this helps.... ;-)

the light comming on is the possibly the f1 light, possibly your shifter is stuck midway, push your reverse switch all the way forward.
