I'm down the road in negotiations for an '08 599. This will be my first Ferrari and I would love some insights. What is a good price on a black '08 with 10k, yellow ceramic brakes, shields, carbon fiber interior, Daytona seats, rear parking sensors, F1, leather rear shelf, Navi, iPod, Bose.
What do you guys like about the 599? What don't you like?
How much should I expect to spend on maintenance a year? Are they reliable? (Lame, i know.) I've tried to look for info, but not much comes up.

Any help I get, I promise to pay forward. Thanks in advance for your insights.
Looking forward to putting up pics when I close the deal.

Around 160k € if you are in europe. Very close to my car specs. Same year, colour but with a few different lesser options.
As for reliability, i had a 360 modena for five years, drove it like crazy and not once had to take her for unscheduled maintenance. My tires were so flat at one point that one actually exploded. These cars are made for driving.
    Best GT i ever had.
edit: when i say best GT i refer to the 599

Thanks much for your input. It's good to know these cars don't have to spend half their lives in shop as in previous years. I know what 160€ converts to, but I wonder if it's as easy as doing a simple conversion. It would be great to get someone to chime in in dollars It's odd that you are the only reply. It seems a fair amount have viewed the post.

    Thanks again!

didnt realize you were in the US. then i'm afraid price wise it is a bit different (btw 160 was with 20 % tax, just in case). but in terms of ownership experience, 599 is great, solid and comfy. i think you are looking at a very good point in the depreciation curve with your pick (good price, yet not very used and the colour is perfect if you want to sell it afterwards). if i was in a market for a used 599 i would go for black, low 10 000km, and 2008.
