    Hey everyone I'm new to this forum and I came to ask for your assistance. I am an engineering student and this summer myself and two friends will be traveling to Italy for a month and europe for 2 weeks as part of a summer study abroad through the engineering department. While I'm there I will have lots of free time and i wanted to take tours of the big european automakers factory's (ferrari, lambo, zonda, porsche, etc). Does anyone have any contact info or know who I can email to beg for a chance to visit these great places, especially the Italian automakers because I will be there the longest. I know most of thses places have museums, but to visit the actual factory and see the cars being made and produced would be awesome. Any help will be appreciated.

    I think you may have a lot of problems to get to Ferrari factory. It is open only for Ferrari customers , press etc. I needed to have press acreditation to get there , and even this was difficult. Try to hit PR offices , they may help you !

    You have to be a Ferrari owner to get into the Maranello factory.

    Pay a few students and tourist a few dollars to take pictures and yell "(insert American celebrity name here)" and hound you as you run up to the gate. Tell them you are (insert American celebrity name here) and you demand to be let in to get away from the paparazzi.

    You're outta luck, as far as I know ... I haven't heard of a non-owner getting a tour of the factory...

    Not necessary. I'm not Ferrari owner and I've been there.

    well it's not like i am some gawker from the states trying to sneak in. i am an automotive enthusiast and an engineer trying to learn and broaden my knowledge base. and i want to see some awesome cars. but seriously any help would be appreciated contact info whatever. and it's not just ferrari either, lambo, zonda, porsche, whatever.

    How would they know if you owned one or not? Get a vin # off ebay, say you got it a week ago. Get a reciept for an oil filter. I know it would work for Ferris Bueller!

    My father and I got in a few years back. My dad simply stated that he was extremely interested in ordering a 360. He just talked to one of the guys there for a while, some representative from FoNA. He took us on a quick tour of the factory which was freakin awesome. I saw like 9 Enzo's on the assembly line, it was siiiick!

    i don;t thin that they will believe that a college looking kid wants to buy a ferrari.

    Maybe in other countries, but in the US, you cannot get a factory pass without having your local dealer set it up, it isn't like you can just go to the gate and ask for a tour. They are very strict with that, in fact, no cameras are allowed in.

    Judging by the responses it sounds like they're pretty arrogant. Are they really "stone cold guys".? Im curious to know about your experience there.

    I'm pretty sure they get a billion requests a day for a factory tour ... they probably just don't care anymore. "no, mi dispiace" "no" "via!" "no" "ma vaffanculo, porca miseria!" "no" .... etc :D

    I'm telling all of you I GOT A FACTORY TOUR WITHOUT OWNING A FERRARI OR HAVING SETUP ANYTHING PRIOR!!!! It can be done. They wouldn't let me bring a camera in. But my dad just talked to a rep from FONA and he took us on a quick tour of the 360 assembly line and then the V12 assembly line and finally the Enzo assembly line a couple years ago. It was an experience i'll never forget! Good luck getting in!

    ok i am a fairly good at lying but i think they would see right through three college kids standing infront of them saying they have/ want to buy a ferrari. i guess i am looking for an email address for some one over there at the plant sales person, plant engineer what ever hit up you sources, i know some one has to have sources. right?

    Here is similar . I didn't say that it was easy. As you said , I couldn't just ask for a tour ... it took me a little more time and luck ;)
