    A/C Fan seized to work.

Checked all fuses, the console itself and relays..everything in order.

Suspect the fan itself is either dead or a bad connection somewhere.

Started to take off the liner and now trying to get the fan out.

    All advice appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

When you say you checked all the fuses, does that include the hidden 20a blade fuse near the ABS electrical connector on the right-front of the luggage compartment -- buried underneath the carpeting?

Your symptoms indicate that one has blown. Personally, I wouldn't mess with the evap box until you're absolutely certain that 20a fuse is o.k.

Nope I have not checked that one.

    Where is it?

Under the liner on the front side are a bunch of 30 A fuses and a 3A one close to the fan box. Is it in front of those?

I took mine out during the winter when I was cleaning up the suspension and all the bits and pieces underneath the car. When you get in there it's fairly clear what you need to do, but you might find you have to drill out a couple of rusty, seized bolts to get the fan assembly off.

As far as I can understand there is only one 20 A fuse and it is in the fusebox next to the ABS pos 9. Is there one more?

You have to remove the upper trunk liner to see the one Dan is talking about. It isn't hard, just pull up the rubber seal around the liner, and then lift up the corner on the right side of car. The corner by the windshield. You'll see the fuses bolted to the side of the blower box, and a couple of relays too.

Do a search of the archives to find the post about the modification to the a/c fuse.

The "hidden" fuse is actually a 30amp. The blower will not work at all with it melted.
I've replaced mine a couple times now and it keeps melting. Can't find the cause, and now living with no A/C or heat.

That's often a failed heater valve. Easy to replace.

Seems like it does not exist such a one in my car. I can not find it anyway.

There are three 30A fuses and a 3 A fuse close to the ABS. Can not find anything else.

Where are the connectors for the fan motor itself. Have to try the motor to see if it is running, but can not find the motor connectors.

There's a connector down beside the fan assembly.
