Hi fellas. I had a break in at my house a few weeks back - and I thought the scumbags got scared by the alarm and only managed to grab a few unimportant items.

I just realised this morning, that they have taken ALL of the paperwork for my Ferrari 550 which was left in the wallet, in the room which they entered. All service history, old MOTs, old receipts, V5, manual, etc.

Does anyone have any ideas if things like the Service History Book are replaceable, without severely damaging the value of the car?

Many thanks for any suggestions or useful contacts.

    Kind regards,

    Joel K

Bad news mate, as all services are held on computer it should be easy for the garage to print you off copies of services and if you can get hold of a replacement book, they should be able to stamp it too. You can get a new V5 through the DVLC, as for old MOT's I think you've had it tho.
    Good luck :D

I had my service record lost (by a ferrari main dealer) on my old 328 some years ago. Ferrari produced a new service book (somewhat reluctantly and after much debate including me threatening legal action). It was then recreated from the computer and my own records by the various dealers and duplicate invoices issued. I then had Ferrari write a letter explaining why the service record has "Duplicato" stamped all over it.

It was a hassle, but fortunately the dealer's problem, not mine. I suggest you get a copy of the police record and contact Ferrari to see what they'll do.
