    Greetings All,
Has anyone got the outdoor version of these and if so what's the verdict? I'm particularly concerned about its resistance to high winds (no not from the sprouts at christmas:D) and also about it being positioned on scalpings as opposed to tarmac / concrete. Need to sort something out as I need to build new garage and this means my precious being out in the cold and wet. Have to be careful or she may play up to get her own back;)
    Any feedback will be useful.
Have a great christmas everyone and safe driving.
    Andy

I know of one thats been used on road planings for the past 3 winters with no problems, the only issue (with all coon's) is getting the car in and out quickly (you've got to undo all the zips etc etc)
seems like a good idea though

Speak to SteveW on this site.

He supplied mine, albeit an indoor one, and I'm sure he can give you all the information you need

    Hi there,
Ive got an outdoor carcoon for the mondial, It is on a gravel driveway, I asked the folks at carcoon about this and they said it would be fine and has been for the last year and a bit.
Yes its a pain the fact you have to undo zips but other wise its good, It comes with a trickle charger as well and should you have a power cut it will run off your car battery for a few days.
The air is passed through filters at the front and if you open the zips and stick your head in the air smells really clean.
The only problem with regards to weather is snow, the weight causes the carcoon to deflate to roof height.
Oh yeas the other thing my mum wasnt impressed with is the fact that its bright silver!! ha ha Its like one giant silver dairymilk block on the drive - hopefully you can keep it out of site as it could be an invitation to those nosey people who knick stuff. Why Silver??
Otherwise its brilliant - Any other questions mail me.

A friend of mine, who is a Ferrari Tech keeps his 365 in an outdoor Carcoon, he has had no problems with it!!

    @ Ninot,

The reason its silver is because the material is reflective (UV). Hope the party last night went well?

    Regards,
    Phil.

You should have no problems with an outdoor Carcoon, but if you are worried, why not put a few paving stones down where you will park the car then you will have a nice flat surface to put the base on and they can easily be removed once your garage is built.
The outdoor Carcoons,IMO are better suited to a long term storage rather than keep taking the car in and out,IE put the car in,build you garage and only take the car out once a month or so.
