    I may have an interest in purchasing a 98' 355 GTS at Fox Valley Motorcars in W. Chicago, IL ($89,995 asking price, no major belt service done, 6 speed, stereo upgrade, factory spare tire, silver/black, 12344 miles). Before I commit to the expensive prepurchase inspection (PPI), I would like a trusted and knowledgeable FerrariChat member to view the car on my behalf. If anyone lives close by and could do me this huge favor, I would be very appreciative. If I buy the car, I will buy you, and your significant other, a great dinner as a thank you. Please PM if you can help. Also, what is Fox Valley's reputation? Finally, what do you folks think is a fair price for this car (assuming good condition)? Thanks! Tim

    Fox Valley, in general, has a great reputation. Check the threads. A few people have felt slighted by them, apparently not getting the attention they needed when going there. But, someone, somewhere, has been pi$$ed off by someone at every dealer in the world. I've been drooling on their cars for years, never got hasseled.
    Call Mike W there, he has a great reputation. As a matter of fact, I'm meeting Mike W. tonight @ the "First Look" , the opening of the Chicago Auto Show, gonna talk about an Elise!
    Maybe you could get them to ship the 355 to one of the 2 authorized dealers in the area for the PPI (Lake Forest, Continental)

    Ditto that sentiment. I've met these guys as well as followed others' dealings with them, and they're a good group.
