That is exactly what happened to me in Massachusetts. They gave me a plate with four digits and the letters VD. I told the woman if I ordered a vanity plate with the letters VD the registry would reject the application. She said take it or leave it. I had to take it until I could order a vanity plate. First time in my life I ever had a vanity plate.
My BIL once suggested "ANDIAMO" for my Alfa. But the only State that would allow that many letters had it already issued ... ... to a Mercedes. (Go figure) In some places, I might want "TI 3VOM" on the front tag.
Love the reversed Move It!!! Here in the uk we don't have these luxuries with vanity plates we are much more restricted And very expensive here ! Regards Michael
