Ugh… recently had new convertible top replaced. It’s been functioning ok as far as opening and closing for the past couple of months since getting the top replaced. Today when I was closing the top I noticed that the rear deck lid was getting caught and not closing properly on the drivers side. After inspecting it there was a rod that was out of alignment I pushed it back into the track and was able to finish the sequence puting the top down, however it was no longer sitting exactly flush. I opened the top to make sure it was still operating properly and then things went haywire. The deck lid closed with the top still open and then the arms came down onto the deck lid- scratching off the top piece of the cover. It now sits in this position and I have no clue how to get it past this point without further damage.

the alignment rods at the front of the capote top cover are more than likely pushing the capote cover up which then hits the top hinge. You need to get the top capote cover back up to adjust it, but you would need help watching this slowly as it moves back so it does not scratch again.
