I took the car out today for a (luckily) short run. Just enough to get it thoroughly warmed up. Just as I pulled back into the driveway and parked, plumes of steam began to billow from the right-side air intake. I immediately switched it off and popped the engine cover. By this time, a substantial coolant puddle had already collected just ahead of the right rear wheel. It appeared to be coming from the area of the lower short angled hose that connects to the pipe that leads to or from the radiator. I let the car cool down for about an hour and a half and then started it up just long enough to get it into the garage. After it has completely cooled down (probably tomorrow), I'll feel around for a split in the hose.

    Any ideas?

It could be a bad heater control valve or heater matrix-if your hoses are ok, you can bypass these and just put a clamp on the hose as a temporary fix. Be sure to bleed air out of system too-good luck!
