Hi All, I haven't had much luck or traction in the challenge sub-forum, so I wanted to pose the question here for help. I need to replace pads on my F355 Challenge, there are no part numbers or stamping marks on my current pads. They are not the Pagid Blue visually, so not sure what they are to be honest. I cannot get a straight answer from anyone on the Pagid Blue's anymore or what the available part number would be today for similar spec Pagids or any other manufacturers that would support the Challenge Brembo calipers. A street/track-capable pad with lower dust would be ideal. Whatever is on the car right now is the craziest dusting pad I've ever had on any car in my life. Any recommendations, part numbers, and resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
When I saw his post, I checked some past Pocono Sportscar invoices but they didn't give the specific part number of the Pagid race pads. I called the shop but they were gone for the day. I'll have specifics on the Pagid pads tomorrow.
I checked with my shop and I currently have PAGID Blue Racing RS-44 Endurance Racing Brake Pads - Front and Rear (Part# 1674_RSL29) on my car right now. As an alternative, FerrParts has a set of OEM Challenge pads (Part# 163297) on eBay now.
Yes, the PAGID Yellow RSL-29 Shape# 1674 is a good choice too. I'm not sure if they're still available from PAGID.
Refer to this page from PAGID's website: https://www.pagidracing.com/en/product-search/race-products/racing-brake-pads/shape-detail/s/shape-1674.html
Right. Raybestos ST-43 brake pads, available from our sponsor Fabspeed, is another option: Ferrari F355 Challenge Raybestos ST-43 Brake Pads - Fabspeed Motorsport
Today you can get just about any pad in the fmsi number of the 355 pad shape. You can tune your brakes for driver style, track, and modern tires.
You can also check out brake pads from Ferodo and Performance Friction. For instance, Ferodo DS2500 (part number: FCP1561H) and Performance Friction 08 Compound (part number: 7720.08.18.44) are good choices for high-performance on the track and they produce less dust.
