Hi all! 6 months in to 550 ownership, I love the car more than ever. What a blast. Thanks to many on the forum who answered some of my earlier questions, I was able to resolve the suspension actuator issues and a few other things.

I’m going to try and crowd source the answer for this one. I cannot for the life of me find the part number for the little clip that holds the throttle cable onto the plastic timing cover. I’ve attached a pic for reference. I’ve poured over the parts schematics which, as usual, always omit the precise piece that I need, despite containing every surrounding component lol.

    Thanks in advance!

Kai- Yours does appear to be a little worse for wear.

It definitely is. I was inspecting the cable and went to pop it out and it was so brittle the plastic just exploded. No surprise there.

While I'm at it, anyone have any suggestions for recovering the throttle linkage cable? I'd rather not replace the whole thing just to get nicer looking sheathing - I've used hockey tape on my old BMWs. It takes heat quite well (without becoming mushy like, say, electrical tape) but that's for wiring harnesses and it's matte so it looks factory for that application. I think it might look weird here. Or should I just leave it?

I'd be putting a cable in it. Seen cables like that stick.

LOL - So I was half expecting these clips to be $20 each, and much to my surprise, they were 90 cents each. Cool. Except I have to order a minimum of 10 from ricambi + shipping which makes them nearly $20 or from ferrparts I can order two but shipping is $15. Seriously? Not at all the end of the world, but that's just ridiculous.

Cables like what? Cables like mine, or cables like the one that was rewound by user "ferraridriver" (link above).
