help finding the maaain power fuze for heat & ac unit

    i had some lights installed in my eng compt and noticed i have no power to my ac heat unit and my side mirrors wont move is there one fuze that powers the whole ac heat unit

    If your car is a LHD 348, the A/C system is controlled by "the hidden fuse" under the lining of the passengers side of the front trunk. It's a 30 amp blade fuse, and it isn't shown in the owners handbook. In some cases (including my old 348), the fuse itself is OK, but the fuse holder has melted from excessive current draw. I replaced the original fuse and its holder with a much larger, gold plated "bullet" fuse originally supplied to service high-powered stereo amplifiers. I think there are pictures somewhere in the archives. The new fuse/holder had something like five times the electrical contact area of the original fuse.

    There is a fuse in the step pad box for the power mirrors, but the wipers, stop lights, and glove box light are on the same fuse (#5).
