Katrina has brought me out of lurking. Just wanted to make an offer to Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama FChatters. A friend is opening a specialty car storage facility in Houston. I've called her and she has agreed to store cars from La/Miss/Alabama for zero charge for FChatters. This would allow anyone who got their car out ahead of katrina to have a safe, climate controlled, indoor facility for their cars while the Gulf Coast is being rebuilt. You can email Sally (owner) directly at [email protected] or by phone 281.799.3505. The business isn't fully operational as of yet, A/C is yet to be installed in Warehouse, but she can take cars immediately. So, if any of you know someone who needs this kind of help, she is is more than willing to be of assistance.

Just as a side note, I am a business partner of Dr. Who, try not to hold that against me. Some of you I've meet at various F Car gatherings, Rob, Carbon, etc.

So maybe now I will post, although Dr. Who manages to post more than enough for the both of us.

    that is a generous offer.

not to make light of the loss of life and property as it is staggering and i don't know how they will rebuild...it really worries me and really makes me sad for those who have lost!

i too wonder how many special cars have been damaged ...jim spiro??

    again, a very generous offer.

FWIW - I spoke to Frank Foster (sparta49) on the phone this morning. He and his immediate family are in good health, but obviously trying to cope with this disaster. His wife is a nurse, and is working 24/7 in N.O., while Frank, his daughter, and relatives are safely in Texas. He reports that his house suffered wind damage, but doesn't think there was any flooding. His realtives homes (in the heart of N.O.) are underwater.

Please keep Frank, and our fellow Fchatters in your hearts and prayers.

    -Daniel

The LA Section here has been invaluable as a Roll Call has been started......

Some of our friends are missing however.

A very nice gesture........my driveway is already pretty full, but anyone here in Houston is more than welcome to just stop over and 'take five'.......

Running low on Corona, but still have plenty of Booker's, Elijah Craig 18, and the ever popular Black Jack.

    The candle's in the window.........

Spiro's Technician was in Slidell, IIRC, but surely the cars were relocated.

Cat 5 has a surge of about 18 - 21', then the wave heights are on top of that............
