    Hi Dean,

Although I am no expert, I think there should be a sticker somewhere proving the federalization was done.

One thing I DO know for sure, those are NOT Strad wheels as the ad states :)

i bought a 03 spider with service just completed and all the papers showing who and what was done to the car to make it DOT for low 80's. Excellant condition with 12,000 miles.
So I would say without paperwork this is high.
If you look at some of the links on euro conversions, you will see paperwork is everything and if it is a 50 state car that makes a big differance.
so without paperwork i would stay away, unless you get it very cheep. because you dont know what someone has done to it.
also some recall's were on the older 360's, so you want to make sure they were done.

my car also as stickers on the doors, engine compartment and trunk in english with the specs for the car at the right locations.

I had promised to post this earlier but forgot. Anyway, here is a picture of the CA BAR sticker that substantiates that it is a 50 state car. Without this and/or paperwork you can not get the car into CA. That limits the potential market quite a bit.

Thanks for your answers gentlemen. I am not sure why the seller is not answering that question... which is a no-go for me if that is not answered and proven.

Assuming he answers and he has the paperwork and all is good, would a Euro car be hard to sell when its time for me to move on to something else?

Chris, good to hear from you bud. Sorry for the late answer regarding the WH, but I am still not in town, plus, I have to be there with them in order to get them in.

I looked into this a fair amount when i was in the market for a 360.

I would not do it without paperwork. The cost to federalize at that time was $25k (about 6 years ago)

The euro cars cost less. The problem at least then was you cannot get euro cars parts.

The euro cars also run a dark smoke because they are tuned for euro gas.

I was told they are tougher to sell and dealers do not want them.

    Good luck

Lee- Euro parts are no problem and not that many of them are very different. Daniel and Mike at Ricambi can get any Euro part and the parts catalogs show all versions sold. I just put a RHD only shock absorber ECU in my car. There is no difference in function from LHD ECUs, just not fitted to US cars originally. Easy to get.

    Gentlemen,
The guy said the car has the stickers but he does not have the actual paperwork. He said it was converted in 2001. What do you think if the stickers are there but no paperwork?
