Can anyone help me? My heat/cool fan won't turn on. I found a hanging yellow wire with red stripe on the drivers side under the dash. The wire is colored yellow with a red stripe, it also has a female spade connector on it. Since the heat/cool fan used to work, and it works when I hold down the contact on the relay I strongly suspect this wire has something to do with
    the problem.

If some can tell me where the wire goes I would very much appreciate.

There are sets (RH LH) of fans for both heating and cooling with separate relays and powering circuits. Given that wires mate with either a component or another wire, if your stray yellow wire w/female connector came off a component, look for a component in the area with an open male contact. If it came off another wire with a male connector (unlikely), it will also be yellow/red. What electrical components are close to the wire in question?

There was a thread a few months back about a non working display/control switch causing heater fan problems. Perhaps you can search for and find that and contact the op for information.

I've never found any Mondial wiring diagrams but just as early Mondials are wired much like their year counterpart 308, I understand the Mondials are quite similar to the 328. I've looked at the heating/cooling diagram for the 328 (fig 8) and find just too many yellow/red wires to draw any conclusions without knowing the proximate location of the errant wire.

I've got a digital version of a Mondial 3.2 wiring diagram. I found it online, but if you can't get one PM with an email address and I can send it, I think it's only 1.6MB. It's for a later year, but I think is probably quite close. I don't think that the 328 and Mondial are very similar from a wiring standpoint, or from an A/C heating either....

Thanks for the offer. I'll go hunting. However I don't think my problem is all that big a deal.
The relay actuator is pushed and the system comes on. I think all I need to do is follow
the wire from the relay and see where the missing connection goes.

Ill get back to you if I dont get it figured out.

Using the mondial drawings this is wire GR. It connects to terminal 2 on C15 connection strip and to the temp control unit under the passenger foot rest. It then goes to connector strip C12 , using terminal no 5 at the ac evap unit. Then goes to a microswitch on the evap defroster lid, from that to the blower motor relay as the power signal to pull the relay in. Relay + defroster lid appear to be part of the evap unit in the inside. I dont see a connection on the dash so it may go to the evap unit.

Have you checked to be sure it's not low pressure in the system which, through the low pressure switch, will shut off power to the compressor?

I searched on line for a wiring diagram some years ago and found one though, unfortunately, I can't recall where. :(
