A viewer at the Art Car Parade thought I should have these, he bought them here 15 years ago and they were from European travels, years before that, has anyone else seen this logo scarf???

The flag is pretty nice quality too, although a little worn.......the scarf is unworn, like new!

I thought it was a nice gesture, from a total stranger......

Nelia found a translation, it says:

    "Today more than ever"

Can any one help me put a date to this?

I have never heard that phrase, as a Ferrari advertising slogan?

it was a message used on banners, scarves and cardboards during the mid 80's (84 till 88) since it was so long time after the 79 worldchampion Jody Scheckter.
New hope and new slogans came wit the arrival of Nigel Mansel (IL LIONE) for example.
the flag is from the same period, look at pictures from the mid 80's and you will find them in the stands along the track they where sold in Agip fuel stations allong the highway (autostrada) in Italy and where very popular among truckdrivers aswell as the flag of Gilles with the print of the 1982 126c2 car and the Ferrari name on it.
Also on dealerships in the mid 80's they used the same type of flag yellow with logo and name in black.

    hope this helpes,

    friendly greetings,

    Alex

    THANK YOU!

...very much for your wise response! This DOES reconcile with the information I was given from the owner of this "find"!!!!

Come to think of it, an Italian Restaurant near my house has that flag you mention, with the car on it, hanging from the ceiling...maybe a large enough dinner tab would see it taken down. ;)

I'm glad to have something contemporary to the "Lean Years"..........dramatic times, indeed.

    Thanks very much, again.

The flag was obviously used at an event, as it bears some fraying and some minor damage.....easily repaired.....
