Hello, I have this Momo 5c steering wheel from about 1980. I was told that it was originally on a ferrari but Im not sure if it was a 308 or what. I bought it for my 911 and am trying to see what it is worth. I am going another route and thought someone here may want to buy it. It is honestly in perfect original condition and not scratched, torn etc. Please email me if you are interested or let me know what it is worth. Thanks in advance!!!! Mark

Looks like an early 308 wheel to me, what is it selling for?

Tex, The one on the red plaque is a Momo Clay Regazzoni if memory serves me right. I will sell this one for $250. It is really in awesome condition it just needs the right car. I didnt feel the die was right for my 911. It is 360mm and a 911 needs 380 imho.

Ferrari 308 purists would say that's not an original 308 wheel - it is indeed slightly different (see the shape of the hub of the wheel around the lower spoke). Not being original, just very similar, will make it quite a bit less valuable. Original 308 wheels in NOS/good condition go for between $400-500USD. No idea what it's worth but being only similar to an original makes it probably $100-200USD. Just a WAG so please ignore if I'm way off.

Cliff, thanks for the information. Like I said, all I know is the guy that sold it to me said it was off a Ferrari. Im a porsche guy and dont know ferraris...other that one day I would like to buy a 456gt. Anyway, I cant sell it for $100. I would take $200 w/o the adapter if anyone is interested. Again, thanks for the help!

We wouldn't need the adaptor for our columns...

Thanks Cliff, man..even looking back and forth between the pics it's hard to spot but I see you are right. A little difference at the top spkoes/hub junction as well..

I know that's the original wheel off 1976 308GTB #20405. The owner made that plaques of the parts he replaced before selling it to me..

He was pretty convinced he had the LAST NOS OEM wheel, worldwide..he had searched years for it.

Your wheel will most likely bolt on any 308, likely 246 also.

We argue all the time about "correct" but there were lots of different wheels over the years...

456GT would be an excellent selection, IMO....

Lot of value there, at current price levels.

Thanks for clearing that up. For a second there, I thought maybe that's all that was left of #20405.

As rare as the wheels are that's an escalating investment hanging on the wall!

The 70's nose badges are an older design too, against the modern cars, so he's actually got a nice stash there. He was very wistful in selling the car, but a new GT3 was parked in the garage right next to it....

#20405 is actually one of the very first steel bodied 308GTBs in the USA, IMO, it's not many that would have VINs earlier.

It's a 1976 production, among the mostly fibreglass cars of that year...

An unrestored survivor for the most part, although it's the wrong color....
