I was painting the bottom rail that holds the 2 radiator fans. During the project I dropped an 11mm spanner between the bulkhead and the inside of the wheel arch liner. On the attached photo image that someone pushed the spanner shown towards the windscreen. Eventually it will drop down between the passenger compartment and the frunk. This is what happened to me.

I’ve looked at removing the rear part of the wheel well liner but this is all original and untouched on my car. It is also securely riveted and factory under coated and I am loathe to disturb this if I can avoid it. I have tried putting a magnet into the abyss but I cannot reach the bottom.

    any ideas?

Buy a new spanner....not worth the trouble/downside. Not like it's going to jam a cam gear.

    Thank God it wasn't a 10mm.
