I recently had a lot of problems with my broadband connection due to a virus. I had to re-install Windows 2000 to get my OS to boot up. I now cannot find all my email records and messages. I have not deleted any files. I use Outlook Express as my email carrier. Any help from any of you, will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance.
typically these are stored in the c:\documents and settings\ folder under a prior username. You might need to show all files to see them. (explorer - tools - folder options - view tab - select 'show all files' click apply) search under the root of c:\ for *.dbx - which are the OE files. They should be, unless something has changed over the years. Sorry, unfamiliar with the files in OE, but this might be it.
