Found a 2014 458 spyder I want to buy. Need help deciding which vehicle to trade in. Married, 2 children ages8,11. Wife drives 2015 Range Rover's LWB, I drive 14 Range Rover. I have a California which the kids and I love. Was thinking of trading in my Rover, turn the California into a daily driver. I really don't think we need 2 Rovers? The California is 2010 only 5,000 miles, extended warranty. I figure I could drive it for a year, it's pretty much already depreciated. On the other hand, Range Rover has been excellent, especially on long trips.
Do I let the California go? Crazy to have a 458 and California? But both very different, plus can't take both kids in the 458. Let the Range Rover go?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Need to let the dealer know.

    Thanks

Who does the food shopping? Can you use wife's Rover through the weekends as you please( take kids around)?

Would your wife complain if you give her the California when you need the Range Rover?

Dr.jan. thanks for the input. Wife does majority of food shopping. I use the Range Rover rarely to haul anything. I like it as a daily driver because it sits up high. Recently, my wife's vehicle was in the shop, used the California for a week as a daily driver, it was a blast. But I've always been afraid or apprehensive to get it dirty or put Miles on the California. Trade in value on the California is so low, I may as well start driving it.

Lucky for me she has absolutely no interest in cars. However, as much as I love her, she's a very bad driver and hits everything in site. I felt the LWB Rover was the safest for her and our kids. :)

I've noticed several forum members actually have both a 458 and a California. Both Very different toys. Thinking goodbye Range Rover.

Sell the Rover and get the 458. Pair it with another fiat 500 Abarth (kids love it and great car for 30k) and all problems solved :)

be happy your wife is no car person :D

The answer would be much harder to make if in CA. They would say sell the F car and get another Rover. :)
